A useful website quotation starts with a clear brief. If you are planning a business website in Dubai, use this checklist to explain your goals, compare proposals and avoid misunderstandings about what will be delivered.
You do not need a technical specification to begin. A short document covering your customers, pages, features and content is enough for an initial discussion. For available packages, see L-Techer’s website design services in Dubai.
1. Define the action you want visitors to take
Choose the main purpose of the site: request a quotation, call your office, send a WhatsApp message, book an appointment or buy a product. Identify the customers you want to reach and the locations or languages they use. A service website and an online store need different functionality and acceptance checks.
For example, a contractor may need service pages, project photographs and a quotation request. A retailer may need product variants, stock handling, checkout and delivery rules. Describe your actual workflow before choosing features.
2. List the pages and who supplies the content
- Company introduction, contact details and service areas.
- Main services or product categories, with a separate purpose for each page.
- Completed projects, photographs and customer feedback you have permission to publish.
- Contact, enquiry, booking or checkout information.
- Any required policy pages and business-specific wording.
Mark each item as ready, needs editing or needs writing. Agree whether the quotation includes content entry, copywriting, image preparation or translation. This prevents a five-page website from quietly becoming a much larger content project.
3. Specify languages and mobile requirements
If you need English and Arabic, state that in the brief. Agree who prepares and approves each translation and check the Arabic layout, navigation, contact details and enquiry process. Test important actions on a phone as well as a desktop.
Ask how you will update each language after handover. Adding a language involves more than a language-selector button: the pages, menus and messages your customers encounter also need attention.
4. Separate essential features from later additions
Make two lists: features needed at launch and features that can follow. Essential features might include an editable service catalogue, WhatsApp contact and an enquiry form. Later additions could include customer accounts, advanced booking, CRM integration or a second catalogue.
For an online store, identify product counts, variants, delivery regions, payment-provider requirements and order notifications. For a custom integration, explain the existing system and what information must move between the systems. Request a separate scope for uncertain requirements.
5. Compare the scope behind the price
Compare proposals against the same checklist rather than the headline price alone. Confirm page count, design work, content responsibilities, revision rounds, features, testing, launch tasks and handover.
L-Techer’s starter website package is AED 999 and includes domain registration, hosting, SSL and business email for the first year. Review the current website packages and inclusions and discuss whether your brief fits a package or needs a custom quotation. Additional languages, integrations and other requirements should be agreed in the scope.
6. Plan the timeline around approvals
Share your target launch date, but also identify when your logo, photographs, content and feedback will be ready. Name one person who can approve the design and consolidate feedback. Agree review stages and explain any launch dependency, such as moving an existing domain or preparing a product catalogue.
For a redesign, provide the existing website address and identify important pages that customers already use. Agree how existing URLs, enquiries and business email will be handled during the changeover.
7. Agree testing, access and support
- Which pages and devices will be checked before launch?
- Who tests forms, contact links, booking or checkout?
- What editing access and guidance will your team receive?
- Who controls the domain, hosting and connected service accounts?
- Which support is included, for how long, and how are later changes requested?
Request clear answers in the proposal. Do not send passwords or private customer files in your initial project brief; arrange authorised access when it is needed for the agreed work.
